Lough Carra lies 5 miles to the north and Lough Corrib 8 miles to the south. The country town of Ballinrobe is 3 miles for nearest shops, pubs and restaurants, tennis, horse riding and golf. Boats and gillies are available by prior arrangement with the caretaker in advance (1/4 mile). Westport (19 miles).
