The vibrant fishing port of Castletownbere is about a mile (1.6 km) with numerous shops, fine restaurants and pubs. Boat trips to Bere Island, guided fishing trips and 9-hole golf course nearby. An ideal location for walking the spectacular Beara Way or touring the untouched beauty of the Beara Peninsular. Kayaks, scuba diving and sailing in Adrigole Harbour. Fine sandy beach at Allihies (17 km). Hill fort, wedge tomb, stone circles and the largest ogham stone in the world. Dursey Island and cable car. Dunboy Castle and Woods.
