Detached cottage, on elevated site in wooded setting with large garden. It is on the edge of the historic village of Castletownshend and within a 10-15 minute stroll of the nearest shop, restaurant, pubs and harbour. 5 miles (8 km) from the bustling market town of Skibbereen. Two safe, sandy beaches, one at Sandycove 1.5 miles ( 2.5 km) and another at Tragumna 6 miles (10 km). Interesting and varied coastal scenery with many islands, inlets and headlands. The unique land-locked, Lough Hyne nature reserve is a 7 mile ( 12 km) drive. Baltimore lies to the west with sailing schools and ferries to the islands. Glandore, to the east also has a sailing school. Sea angling, whale watching trips, kayaking and golf are all available in the area. Garden furniture.


Tastefully furnished and well equipped with first floor open plan kitchen/sitting room/dining room. This room leads out onto a veranda with furniture, boasting panoramic views of the village, sea and surrounding inlets. Three bedrooms, one king size on first floor with adjacent bathroom containing a W.C. and bath with shower. Downstairs is a double bedroom with en suite W.C., bath with shower, a third bedroom with two single beds and a separate WC and walk-in shower. Oil fired central heating. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Fridge/freezer. Dishwasher. Duvets. Free to air TV/DVD. Washing machine and dryer. Hairdryer. No smoking. No pets.


€100 breakages deposit payable on arrival.
