Description

Outside

Detached cottage (next to cottage no I508) in exceptional location, quiet and secluded and enjoying magnificent southerly views over Courtmacsherry Bay to the Old Head of Kinsale in the distance. It is situated at the end of the road on a small peninsular between the villages of Rosscarbery (4 km) and Glandore (7 km) for nearest shops, and choice of restaurants and is about 200m from the sea and the craggy coastline. A short walk from beach in nearby cove. Well located for exploring the varied and beautiful countryside of West Cork, with its intriguing coastline, many peaceful tidal inlets and fine sandy beaches. Dolphin and whale watching trips locally. The lively market town of Skibbereen (12 km). Sea angling, boat and deep-sea fishing trips, 9 and 18-hole golf courses, pitch and putt, cycling routes and horse riding all available in the area. Baltimore has sailing schools and ferries to the Islands. Garden with furniture.

The Folly (I509)

Detached building separate from the cottage (I508). Well designed and easily managed with kitchen/sitting/dining room with electric Aga range cooker and wood burning stove. Stairs to bathroom with bath and bedroom with a double and adjoining south facing veranda with sea views. Electric heating. Duvets. Dishwasher. No TV. Washing machine and dryer. Sofa bed. No smoking. 

 

Notes

Electricity, linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included in the rental. 

The Folly (sleeps 2) is a separate building but can only be booked in conjunction with Ballinaclogh Cottage next door, (sleeps 6) and not separately.
