Traditional stone farmhouse in exceptional location beside and overlooking tidal inlet of Derrynane Bay to the Lambs Head Peninsula beyond. It is situated in secluded location about ½ mile from fine Blue Flag beach, Derrynane House and gardens (the ancestral home of Daniel O'Connell) and Derrynane National Historic Park in area of exceptional coastal scenery. The village of Caherdaniel is about a mile for nearest shop, pub and restaurant. Pony trekking, watersports available locally. Lough Currane (10 miles) renowned for its salmon and trout fishing and sea bird sanctuary. Waterville (9 miles) has two championship golf courses. Private gardens with furniture and barbecue.

Sympathetically renovated and restored to retain character and charm with open plan kitchen/breakfast room with electric hob and double oven and sitting/dining area with traditional open hearth and wood burning stove, separate shower with bidet and W.C. and three bedrooms, one (ground floor) with a double and stairs to one with two single beds and through another with two single beds to conservatory/playroom, bathroom with bath with electric shower and W.C. Oil fired central heating and electric heaters. Duvets. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Microwave. TV (free to air sat)/DVD. CD/radio. Washing machine and dryer in outside stone barn. Hairdryer. Coffee maker. One pet only. No smoking.

Pets welcome (max 2). Prior notification required. Extra cleaning charge will be assessed at end of booking. Pet owner to clean up after pet, both house and garden.
Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and sugar on arrival. Fire laid ready to light. Turf provided with firelighters to start.
Not really suitable for very young infants. There are a number of steps into and inside the cottage, there are no provisions for cots or high chairs and the stairs are the traditional narrow and steep.
