The picturesque village of Caherdaniel is 2½ miles away offering pubs, restaurants, shops, cafes and a local farmer’s market. The area is ideal for walking the ‘Kerry way’, horse riding, boat trips to the Skellig Islands, water sports, fishing, touring the Ring of Kerry or just a relaxing break. The blue flag Derrynane Beach is only a short drive away and there is a secluded sandy cove within walking distance of the cottage, as well as a small pier. Nearby you’ll also find Derrynane House and National Historic Park, the ancient ring fort of Staigue, a championship golf course at Waterville, the Kerry dark-sky reserve, craft shops and tea rooms.
