Converted coach house in attractive Georgian courtyard in the peaceful parkland surroundings on the 700 acre estate of Clonalis House, surrounded by forests and meadows. A country farmhouse inspired property, decorated with a timeless good taste and all the modern comforts. It is perfectly secluded, ideal for rural escapes with family and friends but also within walking distance to the town of Castlerea with plenty of handy amenities such as two cafes, a bakery, two supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a golf course right on the doorstep and plenty of family-friendly activities nearby such as Lough Key Forest Park, Athlone Castle, horse riding, cycling, guided canoe trips and rambling wooded walks. Knock Shrine (18 miles), Sligo (45 miles), Castlerea 1¼ miles for shops and restaurants. Lough Ree 20 miles (Shannon Lake) for fishing. Outdoor courtyard and barbecue area.  Tennis court. Parking.

Inside

Well furnished and equipped with sitting room with wood burning stove, additional dining room/sitting room with wood burning stove, kitchen/dining room with electric cooker.  Two bathrooms; one with shower and W.C. and one with bath and W.C. Four bedrooms, two with a double and two with two single beds each. Satellite TV (free to air)/DVD/CD. Washing machine. Dryer, (in the potting shed right beside the cottage). Dishwasher. Microwave. OFCH. Duvets. Hairdryer. Satellite Wi-Fi. Well behaved dogs allowed (and on a lead when outside). No smoking.

Extras

€150 breakages deposit (refundable). 4 hours of heating included in the summer and 7 hours in the winter. Extra heating is charged at current market rates thereafter. Please be aware, pets are charged at €30 per pet per week payable to the owner.

Notes

Basket of firewood provided. Cot and high chair on request. The Old Forge at Clonalis House, a large self-contained room, offers a very handy private dining room to group accommodation bookings.

Please bring tennis rackets and balls for the tennis court and proper walking shoes for the woodland walk as it can be mucky in autumn/winter.
