Our latest guidance on bookings and travel
Most of our team are currently working from home, in accordance with government guidelines and as such our working office hours between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday when our phones are manned. We do check emails over the weekends and can respond to any urgent queries. We thank you for your patience and support during this time.
From 4 February 2021, the Irish government has introducted a legal requirement for all passengers to quarantine for 14 days on arriving in Ireland.
All passengers arriving into Ireland are also required to complete a COVID-19 Passenger Locator Form. There is also a requirement to have a negative / ‘not detected’ result from a pre-departure COVID-19 RT-PCR test (only this kind of test is acceptable) taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Ireland. Passengers will be asked to present evidence of their negative/‘not detected’ result before boarding their airplane or ferry, and to produce this evidence to Immigration Officers on arrival at points of entry to the State.
Covid announcements are happening all of the time and it is difficult for us to keep up with all the changes. Many of our owners will have their own concerns so if you have a confirmed booking and we have not yet contacted you, please contact the owner directly to discuss your plans. This is very important.
In Ireland, Level 5 lock-down will begin to ease from 12th April 2021 however significant restrictions remain in place which impact on holidays until 29th May 2021. Please familiarise yourself with these restrictions, details of which you will find here:-
In Northern Ireland, restrictions have begun to ease and these are due to be reviewed again on 15th April 2021. Please familiarise yourself with these, details of which you will find here:-
These are subject to updates so be sure to refresh your browser to ensure you have the most up to date advice.
The Irish Government has a ‘Framework for living with Covid-19’ and this details 5 levels – level 1 being the opening up of the country and level 5 being full lockdown of the country.
We have been doing our best to contact all guests affected by restrictions, however, it remains the responsibility of guests to ensure they are complying with the law.
If you are unable to travel due to legal restrictions caused by Covid-19, you have the following options to choose from:-
- Transfer your holiday to dates in 2021 and that will include any payment made.
- Cancel your booking and receive a full refund of the amount paid, minus a 5% card charge. Please be advised that our owners are paid in advance so payments may have to be reimbursed first from the owner in order to facilitate your refund and your patience is appreciated should this be the case.
Due to the volume of bookings affected by the respective lockdowns, we have been prioritising queries and bookings based on the holiday start dates. We are working through queries as quickly as we can and will come back to you on requests as soon as possible.
When rebooking, just let us know the cottage number and dates or quote your old booking reference number and we will apply the credit we hold on file for you to your new dates.
For your peace of mind, all our owners are adhering to the Failte Ireland Covid-19 cleaning guidelines for self-catering cottages which can be viewed at this link (section 13):
There is a requirement for each holidaymaker to be self-responsible and we would suggest you pack additional disinfectant, cleaning wipes, kitchen paper, hand sanitizer and bin bags.
You may also wish to take your own bed linen and towels if you have concerns over this.
