Rental Duration
Cottage rentals commence 1600 hrs (4 PM) on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 1100 hrs (11 AM) on the day of departure. Booking periods are Saturday to Saturday except out of season. Cottages must be vacated in a completely clean and tidy condition for the next occupant.
Cottage Descriptions
All cottages are self catering and have been inspected by Shamrock Cottages. Unless otherwise stated all include own separate entrance and are fully self contained and furnished with electric cooker and fridge, sufficient cooking utensils, glassware, cutlery and crockery for the maximum number of occupants specified and have immersion heater, electric kettle, floor cleaning equipment, blankets and pillows.
Cottage Selection
Many of our cottages are deliberately selected for their age and character and for their remote and secluded location. Most, consequently, have private rather than mains water supplies with resulting variation of quality depending on location. Some cottages have poor television reception, mainly due to remote location (occasionally only Irish channels) and often no Wi-Fi signal. Think carefully before making your selection as they do not suit everyone. We would be glad to advise on cottages suitable for disabled clients.
Breakages Deposits and Extras
Breakages deposits, where specified, are payable direct to the owner on arrival. Electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel and linen hire are charged as extra and payable to the owner unless it is indicated that these items are included in the rental. Linen laundry charges generally vary between €10-15 per pair of sheets. Linen includes sheets and pillowcases, towels are only provided where stated (a charge may apply). There is no public refuse collection. Recycling is mandatory in most areas so please respect the owners instructions and extra charges where applicable.
Pets
EU pet passport rules apply throughout the EU. All dogs, cats and ferrets travelling between member states need an official recognised EU Pet Passport with veterinary endorsements certifying compliance with tests, treatments and vaccinations.
Pets are allowed in all cottages, where we do not mention to the contrary. If extra there is a charge of €15 per pet per week to the owner.
Brochure Amendments
Please note that changes may be made to the particulars in this brochure and in this event, we will notify clients affected before commencement of their holiday. We would appreciate being told of any discrepancies or errors of description, so that these may be corrected.
Problems
If a problem should arise in the cottage always speak to the owner or caretaker before contacting Shamrock Cottages by telephone in the U.K. during office hours.
